AC Cars has unveiled a version of its supercool Mark IV Cobra will an electric powertrain.

<p>The transformation of the iconic AC Cobra racing car with its huge, gas-guzzling ‘classic’ V8 petrol engine to one now powered by an advanced, equally powerful but totally clean electric motor caused shock waves around the heritage auto sector when the news was announced earlier this year.</p>

AC Cars has completed the first production version of the reborn Cobra 378 Superblower, following the launch announcement back in July 2020. Unlike the original Superblower, which used a supercharged 5.0-liter Ford V8, the reborn Superblower is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 LSA engine, producing 580 HP and paired to a six-speed manual transmission. This Mk4 model is a remake of the original Superblower introduced in 1998, but with a tonne of extra power. Under the bonnet is a 6.2 litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 580 hp.
