Student teacher raises £1,500 for cancer charity which cared for her late mum
Afton Fotheringham's mother Linda was cared for by Ardgowan Hospice in 2019 during a cancer battle. The 21-year-old has now raised funds for the charity by creating an online booklet to help youngsters learn basic music skills. It was downloaded over 1,000 times. As well as asking those making use of the booklet for a small donation, Afton requested that family and friends make a donation to the compassionate place of care in place of birthday gifts.
