NEW HAVEN Shirley “Gramma Shirley” Ann Chamberlain Amblo, 83, left this world to be with our Lord and Savior forever more on Monday, April 19, 2021. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born in Vergennes, Vt., to Henry and Margaret Chamberlain. She graduated from Vergennes High School and went on to pursue her love of cooking and nourishing people both physically and emotionally. She worked as a dietitian at Porter Hospital and cooked for Rumford Hospital in Maine before realizing her dream of owning her own restaurant. She owned and operated DJ’s, where she was loved and adored by all who enjoyed her amazing cooking and conversation. Her pies were a menu favorite! ....
