Work on check dam launched in Karak July 2, 2021 KARAK: Work on a check dam in Gurguri area of Karak district was launched to meet the growing demand of the residents, officials said on Thursday. Sponsored by MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company B.V. and its Tal Block Joint Venture Partners, they said, the project would benefit about 13,500 residents of the area. The chief guest of the inauguration ceremony was Muhammad Javed Marwat, Commissioner Kohat and Abdul Ghafoor Shah, Deputy Commissioner Karak, also attended the event. A communique said the MOL Pakistan has prioritised the construction of check dams in collaboration with the Directorate General of Soil and Water Conservation, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. ....
