Carer retires after almost 40 years of service at Greenock home
THE longest serving staff member in a century at an iconic Greenock care home has retired after its closure. Care home manager Annabelle Stewart will now enjoy a well-earned rest after serving 38 years with the Sir Gabriel Wood's Mariners' Home. The pensioner joined the home - that closed its doors on March 26 - at the age of 33 and worked her way up to the position of general manager in 2020.
