We may have spoken too soon about being over the hump, overall cases took a pretty big jump this week in Trauma Service Area F (that's us), however, hospitalizations are still trending downward. Trauma Service Area F (see charts below) includes Texarkana, New Boston, and Paris. The chart shows 213 people hospitalized, down from 244 last week, 60 are in ICU down 4 from the previous week. 22 are on ventilators down from 24 last week, and we have 0 reported pediatric patients in our area.

Case numbers and hospitalizations are trending downward this week in Texas and Arkansas, let's hope that's the way it continues to go. Just when we thought it was safe to begin reporting the current case numbers in Bowie County again, the state stopped reporting them. It's frustrating but we will report them when the state does.
