The Orem City Council voted Tuesday night to allow residents to decide in November whether the city should break away from the state's largest school district and form its own.
Last month the Alpine School District in Utah, the state’s largest district, decided to remove 52 books by 41 authors from its libraries including noteworthy titles such as Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, Forever… by Judy Blume, and the 2015 Caldecott Honor Book, This One Summer, by Mariko Tamaki and illustrated by Jillian Tamaki.
