Managing editor WEIRTON — Weirton Council has opted not to take action to change the zoning designation of a piece of property in the city’s downtown, following a recommendation from members of the city’s Planning Commission. Meanwhile, officials received an offer for a portion of the land to potentially become the future home of the city’s police department.
