A woodsy recreational asset is nearing completion in Allegheny Township. The Tredway Trail expansion project, officially named the Wynn and Clara Tredway River Trail, offers 9 total miles of trail from the Freeport Bridge to Kiski Junction. It comes as as interest in them is on the rise. This is addition to other funding initiatives that are managed by WYDOT aimed at improving the state's transportation network.
In 2015, Cole County Public Works completed a sidewalk project connecting Business 50 West to Rainbow Drive along Pioneer Trail Drive. The sidewalk continued along Rainbow Drive before ending at Hunters Run Road.
