The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) signed a strategic partnership with the Cultural Heritage Administration of Henan Province, aimed at preserving heritage. The signing comes in line with the RCU's goals to enhance the global partnership network within the framework of the Saudi-Chinese partnership. The partnership includes enhancing knowledge and shared resources with a focus on archaeology, preserving cultural heritage and museums, research collaboration, talent development, tourism, and other cultural exchanges.

The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) is participating in the third edition of the Saudi Green Initiative (SGI) and the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28), which will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30 to December 12. RCU will showcase major efforts, initiatives and programs within the AlUla Vision and the AlUla Charter, SPA reported. It will also participate in an exhibition to showcase its efforts. Several experts and specialists from the RCU will participate in the dialogue sessions on related topics.

Organized by Saudi Arabia’s Royal Commission for AlUla, the 4th annual AlUla Date Festival themed "Taste our pride" has seen more than 415 tons sold in the first three weeks of auction. The commission has an electronic date tracking system, through a QR code, which enables it to track the source, history, and features of the dates supplied to the auction. The use of technology is important to ensure transparency, quality control, and accountability in the supply chain of the dates sold.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has listed Jabal Ikmah in AlUla in its Memory of the World Register, 15 years after Al-Hijr (Mada’in Salih) archeological site, also in AlUla governorate, became Saudi Arabia’s first World Heritage Site to be inscribed in 2008.
