Cougar Softball Pounces Early on Huskies Mankato East put scored six runs in the first inning and beat Owatonna 10-2 Thursday at Thomas Park in Mankato. The Huskies held the Cougars to one run over the next four innings and even set them down 1-2-3 once. East added three in the sixth. The Huskies had base runners in each of the first two innings, but had two of them thrown out stealing. Paris Hovden doubled in the fourth and scored on Samantha Bogen's RBI double.
