AZ Corporation Commission To Require Electric Companies Go Fully Carbon-Free By 2070

The Arizona Corporation Commission reversed course May 26 and adopted — preliminarily, at least — clean energy mandates that require electric companies to get all of their electricity from carbon-free sources like solar, wind and nuclear power plants by 2070.The move came on the heels of an earlier decision that would have required energy companies make that change by 2025.
