For public commenting and when they want to do that. okay. julie, i want to ask you, because you ve started companies, advise companies, when this does become available as an entrepreneur, do you think it s a good way to get money? it could be very effective way of getting money. the way i think about it, it s the way democratizing access to capital and amplifying something that s happening in silicon valley, which is kind of an angel investing process or what we call friends and family where you kind of recruit people in your network who believe in you because when you re starting a company it s really about you and your idea. and so it s really more about people investing in you. this allows kind of access to this broader market of people. where you can not only kind of amplify through friends and family, but through a big peer to peer network. is there any downside? i know on the investor side there are a lot of worries investors might be fooled into giving money for something ....

paul: well, press battle is brewing on education. this time over the new common core standards. already adopted by 45 states, the common core aims to better prepare students for college level work through national math and literacy benchmarks. some conservative critics say it s an unwanted and unconstitutional federal intrusion into a policy area traditionally left to state and local government. joel klein is the former chancellor of the new york city public schools. he s now the executive vice president at news corps, the parent company of the wall street journal and fox news and director of amplify, its education unit. i spoke with him and asked him why he supports the common core standards. i support them fundamentally for two reasons. one, i think our nation needs to have rigorous internationally benchmarks standards rather than letting 50 states really dumb it ....

I was able to escape with the help of moderates. moderate muslims? yes, they exist. and helped you get away from the pakistani taliban? yes and saudi arabia spread a very ill tolerant interpretations of islam. there are other societies that are not so radical. and i think many american muslims are horrified by what s happened. i was in louisville, kentucky, when the brothers were identified and there was a sense of shame and fear in the community there. that all of their efforts to be part of the community to help people understand their faith were shattered in this attack in boston. what can we do in the media, what can our leaders do to try to explain, amplify and get that message out? i think actually american muslim leaders need to get out and talk in the media. there have been condemnations of the attacks in boston. i think they re afraid, aren t they? they are afraid. they should talk, we should have a dialogue. ....

Were captured overseas. they re indicted, a year later they re on trial. after that, 87% of them are serving long or life sentences. so you have to ask yourself, which system is working? and which system is struggling? and peter, we did hear from republican senators mitch mcconnell, lindsay graham among them, criticizing the obama administration for bringing this guy to civilian court and not to gitmo center. graham said the administration, quote, snuck him in under the nose of congress. do you think that s a valid criticism? well, i m not sure, but i just wanted to sort of amplify and second what john was saying. i mean, there s nowhere worse in the world to be an alleged terrorist than new york state federal court. the conviction rate in new york state for these types of crimes are 100%. the conviction rate in guantanamo is less than 1%, in fact, some of the convictions in guantanamo have actually been overturned and the sentences handed down in there some cases have been minuscu ....
