Picture: FILE Sparks were flying on social media yesterday after Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete told Parliament that nephrologist, Dr Amrish Krishnan, “was sent across, he was trained by Fijian Government scholarship, he got a masters, I was medical superintendent when we supported him to go for training in Taranaki, New Zealand.” He made the comments while disputing National Federation Party MP Lenora Qereqeretabua’s end of week statement in Parliament where she said kidney patients were suffering and struggling to get dialysis treatment at private centres in Suva and Lautoka. Dr Krishna immediately took to Twitter and said “Hon. Lenora Qereqeqeretabua was spot on with most of what she said.” ....
