Opponents howled in opposition to a bill from Rep. Monica Duran, D-Wheat Ridge, that would more closely regulate the sale of dogs and cats at Colorado pet stores. Duran’s measure drew scores of complaints Monday during a hearing before the House Agriculture, Livestock and Water Committee . Testimony on House Bill 1102 went late into the evening. After almost five hours of testimony, the bill was laid over until Thursday to allow sponsors to come up with a comprehensive amendment that could address concerns.
