Fire that broke out around 5 am quickly spread through the facility. The flames and thick smoke billowing out from the sawmill was visible from a distance. “We suspect that fire was caused due to short-circuit and spread due to presence of wood. Our staff doused the flamed in less than an hour, but the smoke had spread in the area,” said a fire official.
