Town residents will have the opportunity to sound off on a new energy proposal ahead of the Select Board's May 17 meeting, with feedback being solicited more than a year after residents approached Andover officials in hopes of addressing climate change in a positive way.
According to Joyce Losick-Yang, sustainability coordinator for Andover, a group of residents approached officials after seeing other towns around the state successfully implement cost-effective and climate-friendly energy options. On May 17, the Select Board will consider feedback those residents and others have submitted since April 26 about what the town is calling the Andover Community Power plan, in an effort to expand customer choice and support renewable energy options.
