According to police, in an apparent episode of road rage, Roberto Velez Alvarez got out of his truck and slashed two tires on the Jetta, driven by Andre Mosby.
Roberto Velez Alvarez was killed after a crash with Andre Mosby escalated into an incident where Mosby pinned Alvarez to a building with his car, the NYPD said.
Andre Mosby, 26, was driving a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta on East 60th Street near Park Avenue when he and Roberto Velez Alvarez, 54 – driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck – got into a smash-up around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Officials say the incident began as a minor traffic accident on East 60th Street in Manhattan between a big Chevy pickup truck and a Volkswagen Jetta just after 4 p.m. Wednesday.
