Lukashenko honors outstanding Belarusians with state awards MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko presented state awards to Belarusians who distinguished themselves in various fields of expertise, BelTA has learned. The ceremony was held in the Palace of Independence on 7 May. The head of state emphasized that the ceremony took place ahead of Victory Day, the most important holiday for Belarusians. According to him, these days the ceremony honoring the best workers of the country is filled with special meaning, because the frontline feat of Soviet soldiers would have been impossible without the huge work performed in the rear and especially after the war. ....

Orders, medals, and honorary titles have been awarded in recognition of many years of fruitful labor, high professionalism, exemplary discharge of their duties, considerable personal contributions to the development of the Belarusian tractor engineering industry, the country s manufacturing sector, civil engineering industry, in recognition of accomplishments in science and education, in preservation and popularization of the national culture, and in recognition of an active civil stance. A number of MTZ workers were awarded Orders of Labor Glory. Five tractor models by Belarusian MTZ get EU certification MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Five tractor models made by the Belarusian tractor giant MTZ have passed certification trials and can now be sold on the market of the European Union, the company s press service told BelTA. Those are MTZ-952.7, 923.7, 1025.7, 1220.7, and 1221.7 tractors with Caterpillar engines. MTZ General Designer Andrei Stasilevich said: “We successfully passed certification trials last year. We will soon get the relevant documents.” MTZ is supposed to receive 100 Caterpillar engines in May 2021. The engines are compliant with the European environmental standards Stage 5. The first batch of tractors to be sold on the European market will be assembled in June. The company intends to start batch production in Q4 2021. ....
