HANNIBAL â While an assortment of âtweaksâ still remain to be done on the Hannibal riverfront, major renovation work there wrapped up weeks ago. That, however, does not mean all the projectâs bills have been submitted to the city. During the Tuesday, Jan. 5, meeting of the Hannibal City Council approval was given to pay a change order of $85,537 that was submitted by the projectâs general contractor, Bleigh Construction Company. The projectâs fifth change order raised the total cost of the renovation work to $6,768,823. The original contract price was $6,648,000....
HANNIBAL â The city of Hannibal has announced plans to help residents dispose of debris created by last weekâs ice storm. The cleanup effort will be made possible through the joint efforts of the street department, parks and recreation department and board of public works, according to Andy Dorian, the cityâs director of central services. The American Queen Steamboat Company has announced the addition of the American Countess to its fleet. The American Countess was built using the existing hull of a former gaming vessel, the Kanesville Queen. When you include potholes and BPW (board of public works) saw cuts we are over $400,000 in repairs,â said Andy Dorian, the cityâs director of central services.
