The move comes as former Merrill Wealth Management President Andy Sieg takes over as weatlh chief at Citigroup.
Andy Sieg is back again from Merrill Lynch, and has big plans for Citi’s new global wealth franchise.
“We're on the cusp of Hong Kong and Singapore both being larger than Switzerland in terms of being global wealth centres,” declares Andy Sieg, the newly minted head of wealth at Citi. In an exclusive interview with The Asset, he also believes the region to be the most exciting aspect of Citi’s wealth business.
Bank of America's wealth and investment management group, which includes Merrill, saw its Q3 income decline 13%.
