December 6, 2021 — The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado announces that Luis Gerardo Palacios, of Denver, was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin.
December 2, 2021 — A Meridian man was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison for wire fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering based on schemes to defraud his employer, Fry Foods, Inc., during the early phases of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In total, the man fraudulently transferred $69,116.48 from his schemes and used the funds to buy a speedboat and a trailer, officials said.
