Honda and LG Energy Solution announced Tuesday that its new $3.5 billion electric vehicle battery plant will be located in Fayette County, 40 miles south of Columbus.
The plan is expected to create more than 300 new jobs.
Honda and South Korean battery maker LG Energy Solutions are investing $3.5 billion to build a joint venture battery factory in southern Ohio, the car company said Tuesday.

TALLAPOOSA, Georgia (May 12, 2021) – Honda today is celebrating 15 years of U.S. automobile transmission production at the company’s transmission plant in Tallapoosa, Georgia. Honda started transmission production in Georgia in 2006 with 179 associates.
