The BJP is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections, with plans to announce over 150 candidates following its central election committee meeting. Prominent leaders like PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari are expected to feature in the first list. Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Piyush Goyal, and others may also be included. The party is considering announcing candidates in constituencies where opposition parties have already finalized their nominees. BJP is focusing on reaching out to first-time voters and beneficiaries of welfare schemes.
"Two years back, you gave us blessings. You gave 92 out of 117 seats to us (in Assembly elections), you created history in Punjab," he said at a public meeting in Punjab's Khanna town amid the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
