Monoclinic TiNb2O7 (TNO) has recently been reported as a promising anode candidate for next-generation high-energy–density lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). Unfortunately, poor electronic and ionic conductivities have limited its practical application. In this study, we prepared selectively W6+-doped TNO to overcome these drawbacks. CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--Today, U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm, along with federal, state and local officials, celebrated NOVONIX’s new facility in Chattanooga, Tenn., where the company will produce high-capacity long-life synthetic graphite anode material. NOVONIX is the only qualified U.S. supplier of the material, which is used in lithium-ion batteries.
