ELKTON - Investigators are seeking help from the community after four separate shootings in four different Elkton neighborhoods over the weekend - raising the total number of gunplay incidents in town to seven in less than two weeks, police reported Monday. Dr. Joseph Clarence Cox, DMD, 41, remained in the Etowah County Detention Center Tuesday afternoon. GPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Marcus Hill said search warrants were executed Monday at Cox's office, Gadsden Dental, located on Rainbow Drive. Hill asked anyone with information related to the charges to contact Det.
