Man indicted on allegations he drove into protesters in Cooper Young
A man accused of driving into a crowd of protesters in Cooper Young last year has been indicted by a Shelby County grand jury. Beau Albauer, 27, is accused of driving into a crowd on Cooper Street during a protest on June 5 of 2020. No one was struck or injured and Albauer was released on the scene with a citation for disregarding a red light, police said after the incident.
