Was hard enough to get an antigen test in the first place, i mean, this is what frustrates people and i think keeps them from doing even people who want to do the right thing, the right thing. what s your take on this new fda study that mike and shaq just mentioned? honestly, chris, i m is not shocked. for weeks now, we have been seeing clinically, people who are negative by a rapid antigen, three days in a row, even, and their pcr which they ll get on day three will be positive and they ll still have rapid negative antigen, and we ve seen the flip where we ve seen positive rapid antigens and negative pcrs. it s a little bit all over the map, and hearing what the fda has seen with external data, and i bet there s more to come that gives us detail on which of these rapid antigen tests, how reliable are they. but the bottom line is you can t test out of covid. you really can t. i know we all want that secure and that little lollipop card that s negative and say, i m all good. i think t ....

A tweet showing this picture of your research. tell us what we re looking at here. what is the source of your concern based on your scientific research and data? so, good morning, john. when we look at this, there is absolutely no data that i am aware about with the omicron variant. it s people coming out of isolation five days after they were first diagnosed with the virus. my own work shows that when we look at people five, seven, eight days after they were first tested positive or first symptoms, they still have enough virus in their nose, in the back of their throat to be able to come up positive on these antigen tests. and antigen tests are a very good proxy for live virus and the ability to be able to infect others. so it seems they have made a decision without the data to actually support this change. . we have spoken to other ....

Less useful than expected. as we look at the scores of tests over the counter and the most popular the rapid antigen tests have only been 85% effective against previous variants. the gold standard pcr with only be used in a lab and 97%. you see the comparisons there. one of the rapid antigen tests employer requirements that workers get tested has caused shortages. currently out of stock. abbott labs and others are scaling up production. but it could take weeks to months to significantly boost output. last week amazon, walgreens and cvs began limiting the number of kits customers could buy and we spoke to cvs saying they are doing working around the clock to provide stores with an inventory of five tests as they limit the number of tests ....
