Happy Aztec New Year—beginning at sunrise today, and still celebrated in some Nahua communities (and in Nahuatl, you can say Paquini Yancuic Xihuitl or Feliz Año. Both are fine). Candles, fireworks, drumming, and singing can be heard in and around Huauchinango, Mexico City, Naupan, and Xicotepec, Zongolica to ring in the holiday.
