Four Silver Spring Men Sentenced in 2020 Takoma Park Armed Robbery Four Silver Spring men were sentenced for their parts in an armed robbery in Takoma Park last summer. According to Takoma Park Police Chief Antonio DeVaul, at 11:30 p.m. on June 6, 2020, police responded to the 8200 block of Flower Avenue where they found a victim sitting in the area who told police he saw four men exit a vehicle near him and then began assaulting him. One of the suspects pointed a firearm at him, and they forcibly took some of his possessions. The suspects then ran back to their vehicle and fled northbound.
