Graft charge fall-out: Order to tighten KFCC’s purse strings

Apex Sandalwood body asked to stop taking any decision on major financial matters, except payment of salaries and day-to-day expense
The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (
KFCC), the apex body of the Kannada film industry, has received an interim order from
the Registrar of Cooperative Societies directing it not to take decisions pertaining to financial matters except on those related to paying salaries to the staff members and day-to-day expenses till further orders.
“The KFCC should not take major decisions pertaining to financial matters with immediate effect. The general body meeting also should not be held till further orders due to the Covid-19 pandemic,’’ said SG Manjunath Singh, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Bangalore 4th Division. ....
