A lady who volunteered at a hospital during World War Two celebrated her 100th birthday in Grantham A former land girl has celebrated her 100th birthday in a Grantham care home. Sheila Knott became a centenarian on Saturday as she celebrated her birthday from Apple Trees Care Home. The staff at Apple Trees made sure that Sheilaâs special day was as enjoyable as possible in the circumstances, providing cake, balloons and banners.
