The Appleton Post-Crescent reported that a father in Menasha called 911, saying he got a text that his daughter was being stabbed. Eight officers rushed to the woman's apartment, but they found that she was unharmed. It turns out that she was getting "swabbed" for COVID-19. The text she sent to her father happened to autocorrect the word to "stabbed." The entire situation took about 25 minutes, with police saying the misunderstanding was very rare.
