Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court in Lagos has restrained Virony Nigeria Limited from using the pictures of Nollywood star, Mercy Johnson to promote its different products. Justice Aneke gave the order when he granted an ex parte order on a suit filed by Mercy Johnson against Virony Nigeria Limited, which manufactures household items and sanitary wares.

BREAKING: Organised Labour Declares Nationwide Strike From Nov 14 In Nigeria After Police Assault On Leader

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have declared a total nationwide strike in Nigeria. The planned strike will take effect next Tuesday, November 14, 2023. The leadership of the two unions agreed to go on strike in an extraordinary National Executive Council meeting held on Tuesday in Abuja. At the meeting, the unions reviewed the modalities of the planned strike following the brutalisation of the NLC National President, Joe Ajaero by the police in Imo State last week.
