WITHIN the cluster of historic cottages nestled around a cobbled courtyard in Thornton is a former watchmaker’s workshop. Local history records reveal that the workshop was in operation in 1916. Now its legacy lives on in a bar which operates from the same property - called The Watchmaker, in a nod to its past.
