Happened, samantha. are you concerned about the future of our country with our edge and excellence? i m certainly concerned. i ve been concerned a long time prior to me having children. my brother and sister-in-law do home school themselves. so it s a hot topic in our household. my sister happens to be a teacher as well, an educator. so there s a lot of great conversations. we ve been falling behind a very long time. so i think covid did such a disservice. i m surprised that it s only 4 1/2 months behind. and really it stargts at starts at home. it starts with the parents. it goes back to ron desantis. he empowers people to take up the responsibility and give them that sense of pride. so i m certainly concerned about definitely the reading and writing and arithmetic but especially the reading ....

Because you have to involve and meet the virus as it evolved. bret: now, morgan, we are getting all the fallout on the education side with kids, what is really the gap that they experienced. and the question is are we ready for the next thing? how are we, as a country, going to handle the next pandemic? i mean, let s hope it s another 100 years. we are certainly not ready for it. when you look at school aged children they need anywhere from four and a half to five months additional of reading, of arithmetic in order to catch up where they should be. i think the national conversation we should be having is how do we get them there? we know that we made poor decisions that put students behind, it s a fact. we know that some of those students will never make it up. so what is the national plan for whomever the next president is, the current president to get our kids caught up and to not have two years of a gap that many of them have in cities around this country. bret: jeff, do you ....
