Bicester donates 400 shoebox gifts to less fortunate children
Despite the problems that this year has presented, residents in Bicester have shown their support for Operation Christmas Child by packing and donating around 400 shoeboxes of gifts for children overseas living in poverty. The National Collection Week had to be changed from November to early December because of the recent coronavirus lockdown, but the town’s drop-off location, Cinch Storage in Arkwright Road, remained open throughout, enabling donors to drop off their shoeboxes in a Covid-safe way.
