The suspense in the Congress, Karnataka is over, following the decision by the party to make Siddaramaiah the Chief Minister and D K Shivakumar his deputy.

After days of hectic parleys and suspense, Congress has finally decided to go with Siddaramaiah as the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. D.K. Shivakumar, another contender for the top post, claimed that he decided to make the sacrifice and agreed to be his deputy “in the interest of the party.”
After much speculation and drama, the Congress finally came up with a solution in Karnataka. D K Shivakumar who had refused to back down finally relented and agreed to be deputy to Siddaramaiah.
