Zemblanity has survived two years, sticking after the chaotic and uncertain year Covid-19 brought. “I.couldn’t imagine using another word. It felt appropriate.” The exhibition was originally scheduled for the middle of the year, but lockdown shut the gallery doors and put him in a bubble with his parents, shacked up in their garage. “It gave me some more time to develop skills and do more.” The collection of 16 artworks was in progress for two years. Another 16 works did not get finished or failed to make the final cut. Each was a different recipe, created with different mediums, timings, techniques – and lots of layers of paint. ....
