The historic 7 March speech was a watershed one in the political evolution of the Bangali people. This speech touted a clear vision for these people. On the other hand, implicit in this speech, was a mailed fist for the Pakistan military junta. Above all, the speech was a distant thunder for the Pakistan ruling coterie, but also an articulation of not too distant a dream for the Bangalis. The speaker, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman (Bangabandhu), has since gone down in history as the outstanding person with exemplary oratorical and communicative skill.
