Seven men have been arraigned for allegedly attacking the wife of Osun State Governor, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola, in the state last week. Some hoodlums last Friday night attacked the convoy of the governor’s wife, Alhaja Kafayat Oyetola in gridlock in Owode-Ede, in the Ede-North local government area of the state, which is the home town of the Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused thugs loyal to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of carrying out the attack.

The prosecutor said the defendants also unlawfully damaged the glass of three convoys attached to the governor's wife.
