The duration of the mayor’s term, the pay that City Council members earn and rules regarding the sale or lease of city property all could change soon, depending on the will of city voters in the Nov. 7 general election.
Chelsea Grimm of San Diego had stopped to camp in Arizona on a planned cross-country drive. Her car was found abandoned Oct. 5, authorities said.
She set out on September 24 but there has been no sign of her since her car was found locked and with two flat tires in Kaibab National Forest just northeast of Ash Fork on October 5.
The special election includes charter amendments and a referendum on plans to move FMC.
She had only got as far as Williams County, south of the Grand Canyon, when a police officer found her in distress while parked near a war memorial on September 28.
