Since June 15, the Yavapai County and Coconino County sheriff's offices have been searching for a suspected arsonist in connection to multiple fires.
Leads followed by Yavapai County Sheriff's Office eventually led them to a suspect, Karson Nutter, an Ash Fork firefighter.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office, 18-year-old Karson Nutter of Ash Fork has been linked to four structure fires and four wildfires that sparked between June 15 and July 20.
Sheriff’s investigators in northern Arizona have accused an Ash Fork firefighter in a string of arsons and have so far charged him in nine separate counts. Yavapai and Coconino County sheriff’s department investigators said they obtained a full confession from firefighter Karson Nutter tying him to at least seven arsons in both counties.
