Travelers, unsure when they ll get off the ground. laura ingle is live in our news room with more on this. hi. don t you hate those nail biting moments at the airport? there is way too many carriers to mention in one report, but if you have a flight on british airways today or tomorrow heading into or out of the u.k., for instance, you can forget it. the airline carrier posted news that all flights to the united kingdom will be counseled and it s not just the little people, president obama has had to cancel his trip to the funeral for the polish president tomorrow and french president, sarkozy had to cancel his trip. we ve got images for you released by nasa. the cloud of ash hovering over most of europe, so big you can see it from outer space. this cloud hugging huge portions of europe closed large sections of air space, creating fear that microscopic particles of highly abracesive ash could endanger passengers by causing aircraft ....

but let s start with president obama who had to cancel his plans today to attend the polish president s funeral as volcanic ash shuts down air travel over a large chunk of europe. the white house confirming air force one can t make the trip. the polish president and his wife died with 94 other people in a plane crash last weekend. president obama issuing this statement, saying, quote, i regret that i will not be able to make it to poland due to the ash that is disrupting air travel over europe. michelle and i continue to have the polish people in our thoughts and prayers and will support them any way i can as they recover from this tragedy. the rising ash forcing airlines to ground three quarters of european flights this weekend. we re talking thousands of flights affecting millions of passengers. it s the biggest aviation shut down since world war two. well, as for when conditions will improve, there is no end in ....
