However, a section of Ministers and MLAs is not following any Covid-19 protocol. This has been proved by huge gathering of masses in public meetings, rally which are organized by different political parties for the Assembly election. Students of Cotton University, along with the member of the Guwahati Mahanagar Satra Samaj, organise an anti-CAA protest in Guwahati on Friday GUWAHATI: Hundreds of students hit the streets of Guwahati on Friday demanding the scrapping of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Former general secretary of the Cotton University, Pranjal Kalita, said the students’ fraternity cannot forget the atrocities meted out by Assam Police on them and the people of Assam during anti-CAA protests. “We are always with the people of the state. We won’t accept the act that poses a threat to the indigenous people. It is not possible to stay silent and let the greater Assamese community go into extinction.”
