There’s been hesitation from nursing home workers to get their covid vaccine in the province
Nearly half of employees in some nursing homes have not completed their consent form for vaccination. They says there’s a lack of information about the new vaccines.
The New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes confirmed to CBC – that 90% of residents have received their vaccine, but only 55% of staff members have received shots. For the French-speaking Association of Special Care Homes, about 20% of employees have refused.
Reasons for refusal are varied, but many say a lack of information about the vaccine is at the root of the problem. Communication and information inconsistencies have caused some confusion among nursing home workers. ....
