iim: Parliament passes bill to empower President with management accountability of IIMs

The Indian Institutes of Management (Amendment) Bill, 2023 that strengthens the governance and oversight of IIMs while preserving their academic autonomy, has been passed in both houses of the Indian Parliament. The President will now be the Visitor to IIMs, granting greater powers to audit their functioning and remove or appoint directors.
