The saudi state oil company claims to have the capacity to produce 12 million barrels a day and is currently producing about 11. so, it has the capacity to produce an additional million barrels per day in a global marketplace, that is close to 100 million barrels per day. extra supply could matter for prices at the pump. there is actually already an agreement between saudi arabia and other members of the so—called 0pec+ group to implement a small production increase next month, but the real question will be when the group meets on august 3rd to discuss the next steps for september and beyond...
