A sheriff’s deputy in Whatcom County is facing charges, accused of abusing his position as a law enforcement officer to threaten, blackmail and sexually assault two women.
His arraignment is scheduled for Friday, July 21st.
The deputy, identified as Austin Case, allegedly threatened to arrest one woman unless she came over to his home.
Case was also terminated from the Sheriff’s Office.
None of the alleged crimes occurred while Case was on duty with the Sheriff’s Office.
