West Bengal Transport Department has notified that Auto Emission Testing Centres that issue PUCC are liable to be penalised in case of violations.
Auto Emission Testing Centres: While the earlier system required just a photograph of the vehicle’s registration plate, PUCC Version-2.0 will also require a landscape image of the vehicle at the emission testing centre, a live video of the emission test captured via the PUCC app and the geo-location of the mobile device capturing the photo and video.
